What should i get my girlfriend for her 18th birthday?

I have a dilemma here, cos her birthday is in August an about 6 weeks after that i leave for uni so i need to get her something she'll remember me by.

Any idea appreciated, thankyou!

My old boyfriend made me this really neat shadow box last Christmas. He took an old painting he'd done a long time ago and cut it up and made it 3D and put it the little shadowbox thing.... I know it didn't cost him a whole lot, but he really put a lot of work into it and I loved it. Even though he's gone, I still have it hanging over my bed.


Make her something cool.... something she can keep forever and will make her think of you whenever she sees it.

 

Someone once got a load of photo's of me and my friends and glued them into a notebook with a few witty comments and I really appreciated that, I lost touch with them ages ago but it's still in my 'special items' box...

 

I would recommend either a really nice piece of jewellery or some sort of photo thing.

take her out to a park, count the squirrels, eat berries, massage or just kiss her

 

Once my girlfriend gave me a huge poem that she had written about me in a frame.... it was done beautifully in calligraphy (by her dad who used to be a benedictine monk!) and had all these beautiful illustrations on it... I would never dream of getting rid of it as long as i live and i reckon poetry coming from the heart is one of the best presents ever that you can give.

Thanks for the ideas y'all, the necklace definately seems to be on top at the moment cos i am so cackhanded that folding paper is beyond me let alone making anything.

why dont you get a picture of you 2 together at a place you both loved and frame it then give it to your girlfriend so she'll see it everyday.
