smoking ganja through cigarette filter?

Hi guys, alright i know this sounds really retarded and probably isnt too efficent in getting high but whenever i used to roll joints my spit would get the tip all wet and i couldnt even toke out of the end it was so wet and all.... so i hollowed out a cigarette and filled it with the green i kept the filter on and just twisted the end and lightend up. i was wondering if it is safe and or gets you high to smoke through a cigarette filter? it got like super brown (the filter) and got really "wet" on the filter, i am guess the resin/ trichomes. help a brother out guys.

 

it'll work, but not very well. a much more effective way to do this is to roll a "filter" out of a cut up peice of thin and flexible cardboard, such as a short strip cut from the side of a business card. roll it into a spring shape, and then when you roll your joint you just roll it up with the pot. put it in the end, where the filter would be on a cigarette. this will give you structure and support on the end of your joint so it doesnt get all gross and mooshy, allow it to hit MUCH better, and allow you to smoke all the pot in the joint without a roachclip or burned fingers. it will take virtually nothing out of the smoke, unlike a cigarette filter, and once you learn to roll this way its FAR much less trouble to go to than using a cigarette for joint paper...

 

I have a friend who does this all the time, it seems to me that it's a bad idea because it might filter out some of the thc, but maybe someone else here can give you a more definite answer to that. Anyway, what I do is roll up a bit of hard paper into a 'filter' tip, and put that at the end of my joint so there's something to hold on to, and you don't end up with a gross soggy roach that can't be smoked. Maybe that'll do the trick without having a cig filter.

Haha, well you beat me to it. And yeah, I don't actually roll the paper, because that would make it hard to suck smoke through, but I fold it like an accordian.

i dont use paper, i use thin cardboard, which is much more resilient. if you roll this into a thin cylinder and let go, it will unroll partway, but remain coiled up. sort of a spring shape. it works great, i've NEVER had a problem smoking through one.
