Reeling from the Mommys at Earthymommies...

I guess I'm posting this looking for some hugs and advice. A while back I joined a posting site called "earthymommies". Are any of you members? I really enjoyed and cherished some of the stuff going on there.

I first learned about attachment parenting from this place and somehow in my research found the earthymommies site.

I posted on their venting forum, complaining. I'm not one to complain, nor vent. Being a Rainbow, I really, really try to practice tolerance. O boy was I wrong!

These ladies sure reponded with a vengence. I teared up!

I complained about not being allowed to be on a members mailing list, because I don't post enough. They want you to post 200 times or more! Ouch!

Talk about rejection, I've always posted (my whole 15 times I guess) with love and support...

I thought I could save myself some grief of being locked out of a site, not getting any response to my inquires for my forgotten password for weeks and weeks...

I'd been locked out of there site for over a month, with no help. Somehow I figured out a way to get back in, I'm so computor illiterate it was a miracle. And politlely asked to be included on the members list...rejected.

These women scare me, and I'm so attached to the site, there is some really good info regarding attachment parenting, and other great stuff.

I thought it was a safe place! Never in my life did I expect such anger!

 

I'm a dude, but mommies can be kind oyf middle school cliquish. Hang in there sis... It is like your Mom use to tell ya do you really want to play with those kids any way if they were so mean. The moms on here are MAD cool.

Just avoid fuberizing and circumcision (too hot topics sometimes) and you will be fine.

 

That's it I deactivated my account and deleted my bookmark, does anyone know of any other attachment parenting sites?

Also, a lot of kynd hippy mamas attachment parent on this site.

drsears.com is also an attachment parenting site. But Hip Forums has other stuff as well.

 

Mothering.com is AWESOME! I'm totally addicted. www.ivillage.com has an attachment parenting message board, too. They have a ton of boards about everything you can think of.

 

try the http:/phunkybitches.com there alwasy talkin about babys and girly stuff.

 

I agree with Maggie that a lot of mothers on this site do AP style. This site is the one that originally got me into the idea. They are still the ones I'll go to for advice in the AP style care of my baby, once the time comes.
