Hi all, Wonder if you can help me.... Me and a few mates are coming over to Amsterdam for a long weekend at the start of Martch for my birthday. We have all been before but not for the past 2 years..... Cant wait for the smoke again getted fedup with the weeed in the uk... Can anyone give me and information about the Casino in Amsterdam. We are all avid Texas Holdem poker players and will be heading to the casino for a few nights/days. Has anyone ever been or could give me any info about the casino, ie tornament schedule etc etc it would be most appreciayted. Thank you in advance
There's two types of people in this world, those who gamble and those who don't, I'm from the latter. A casino is a casino no matter where you are in the world. There's so much more to see and do in Amsterdam apart from playing Poker which is easy enough to even play on-line. Please, please don't spend all your time couped up in an artificially lit warehouse infront of a poker table when there's so much more that Amsterdam has to offer. imho Apart from that, as far as I know, the Amsterdam casino is the only casino in the world that has a clock displayed on the wall unlike all the others, but not sure if this is actually true, just a rumour I heard. Gamble away, it's your money afterall and help paying for the guy's holiday who owns it all. C'est la vie

No worries, lets just move on now. I just dislike casinos, but I should shut-up and not put anyone else down for liking them though, this I realised the following day.
I have been in the Holland Casino. Sounds like you are from the UK? I have experienced Vegas more times then I can remember. The Holland Casino is nothing like the Vegas Casinos. It is much more quiet and refined. You must check your coat and be dressed appropriately. Also expect to drop a couple hundred Euros minimum. They are no low stakes tables and the slots are shit. I personally will never go back there. It is set up for the rich and affluent, not tourist's. Yes, they do play Texas Holdem there. This is the only place in Holland I have ever been that I did not feel welcome.
