pick a name that has meaning to you, but don't spell it weird. If my first girl had been a boy, she would have been named DH's father's first name and my maiden name as a middle name. I didn't want to reuse the same name if our second girl were to be a boy, so we picked something totally different instead (we both ended up liking the name Zane). DH and I had an agreement, if baby was a girl, I got to pick the first name and he picked the middle name. If baby was a boy, he got to pick the first name, and I would pick the middle name. But we both had veto rights if we did not like the name the other had chosen.
okay heres a list of my favorite boy names..maybe it will help you out Zion Gannon Cable Damenn Addisen Felix Gage Finlay Israel Gaspar Kendrick Kelsey Layne Lynden Morgan Payton Pierce Xavier
I really like names that have other variations to them. Like I absolutely love the name William, but that could sound too stuffy. So if I have a son, I'd name him William but call him Liam. When he gets older, if he doesn't like that, he could go by Will, Willy, Bill, Buddy, Billy... whatever. I actually have a really easy time with boys names. If I have sons, I want to name them: -Owen Marcus -William Arthur -Kyle Jakob -Graham Elliot That's just what I've come up with my boyfriend. However, his last name (Petersen) just wouldn't work with some of my favorite names like Ethan, Evan, Kieran, and Sebastian. I don't have a hard time coming up with boys names, just names that go with my boy's last name.
That's funny, because when I was pregnant, I had the worst time coming up with girl's names. Boys names were a piece of cake. (I have two boys and one girl) My oldest son is named Kylan Alexander, my twin son is named Sylas Arric, and my twin daughter is named Mayzie Amorette.
well, for the people who were asking about what name I would want to reflect the baby's character, I'm not sure. Maybe if I could wait till he's older to name him......but it doesn't work that way. His last name is DeLeon which means something like "of the lion" so I'd like something to sort of reflect that or go with that. But then again, his daddy already has that all for himself, Not only is his last name deleon but he's also a leo and if you've ever seen sprout's gallery you'll see he's kinda got the mane to go with it. Bah, this is hard. I want something meaningful and original, but not sappy and outlandish. Plus, there's the fact that sprout and I just can't seem to agree on any of the names we've come up with so far. I think I'm gonna give myself a stroke before this is all over with. Sprout, if you're reading this before you get back home, look at some of these other names these kind folks have offered up and see if you like anything. Love ya. And once again, thank you everyone else for trying, I'm sure we'll come up with something soon, and when we do I'll mail you all some fresh baked cookies.

Boy names seemed much harder to me too. One thing was that some cool boy names like Sage are a little too unisex and could turn into girl names and most boys don't dig having a "girl" name at a certain age. I was leaning toward things like Cedar and Canyon,or something really out there like Dragonfly (big no from the old husband on that one). Husband liked "Rugby" which I actually thought about but finally figured that was a dog name not a people name also too sportsy and what if he wasn't a sportsy guy. We finally went with Xander partly cuz we dig the name, partly because we were obviously watching way too much "Buffy" at the time and also I think X is a cool letter. Now I wish I'd made his middle name Ray so he'd be X ray cuz he is 3 and loves saying "X, XRAY!" over and over when we play alphabet games.
My son's name is Wilne Kasimere Noam Wilne~ Cheyenne expression meaning~ Eagle Singing While Flying Kasimere~ Slavic Saint~ he name means I bring forth Peace~ Wilne's due date was the Saint's birthday , and our wedding date happened to be the Saint's Feast Day, kinda cosmic And Lastly~ Noam ~ named after the president of the Famed Linguist and MIT professor ~ Noam Chomsky
Why not like a normal name? Anastasius Septimus Azure Sky Wombat might sounds exotic to you, but come on. Ditto all the pretentious assed modern names, if I had $1 for every "Conor", "Hunter" or "Spencer" Jesus. And no strange spellings either... Giaunnnnnn rather than "John", etc.
Really...I find myself going for the more traditional names: Eleanor, Martin, etc. And not with any weird spellings.
That would be adorable...and it goes well together. Plus, it would rhyme (sp) with my other son, Blake. Sprout is being too damn picky. I told him if he doesn't give me a break I was just gonna give up and call the baby Billy Bob or something equally redneck. We have come to something of an agreement, we're thinking about Aaron (not my first choice, but oh well...) but we still don't have a middle name. *sigh*
