One White Page One white page An empty child Looks before it Hoping for the tears They can't even be found No tears of sadness None of joy No tears escape from her moonbeam eyes Imagine just once you could swim In that drinking glass of cool water Then could you be satisfied? If just once you could submerge yourself In refreshment Would your soul feel clean then? Not even clean It wasn't really dirty to begin with Rather would you feel free? Could the rain inspire your tears? Teach you to feel again? You feel like crying out but no one is listening You just can't make the sounds What happened to the music in your soul? Where did that Absolute joy go? When did the bhajans that sing you through life fade? How did you end up so all alone? You know there's hope Somewhere, perhaps, on the street of dreams It's a lonesome road to get there You need to fight many demons still Large ones with green eyes Then will you find the river of pure water? Where the neither salt nor chlorine ever get in your way Then will you only taste the salt when your soul pours from your eyes? Will beauty come and bring you back to her garden? Till that day, empty child Govinda hears you cry at His Lotus Feet When no one is there to hold you close Tell you there is hope in the darkness He is there. You need to dance and dance you shall He is always your partner You need to be held Held you shall be He is always your lover You need to swim and be free Swim you shall For He is the water that you seek He is the garden and its tender Waiting for you all the while Turn your emptiness to Him He will take you in His arms And fill your one white page.
