are YOU stupid? did you SEE those pictures, or the video on the website? haven't you ever heard of brick weed, and don't you know what kind of pot we get from mexico generally? its shit! it's god awful!

you obviously have no clue how the drug trade works. let me tell you something, international drug trafficking is unbelievably risky! ESPECIALLY when you're talking about bringing pot into the US from mexico. the only way to make it profitable enough to be worth the effort is to smuggle the largest possible amounts in the fewest trips possible. huge fields are grown without much special care given to them, so the plants are all pollinated and end up being heavily seeded. the sheer volume of plants being harvested prevents quality manicuring and curing of the gear, so a lot of leaves are left on and much of the plant's potency is lost through mishandling. the pot is compressed very very tightly and wrapped up into bricks - the things in the pictures are not boxes of pot, they're solid masses of pot wrapped in plastic. when its finally north of the border and sold to the public, its usually very old, very dry, very seedy, and very obviously mishandled and mishapen. flat buds, multiple buds pressed together, hell, i once got about a quarter of brick weed for free...but before breaking it up it looked much more like a dimesack. it was all in like three clumps....and there was a big CORNER in one of them! buds shouldnt have corners....

anyway, despite what some people would say, there is some very good pot in mexico, however it simply isn't cost effective to go to the trouble of transporting it to the US. there is very good pot in most countries, actually. its just that what we get from mexico in the US is generally the absolute bottom of the barrel, almost down there with industrial hemp.....

also, it takes a lot of time for such large quantities to get sold, and most of the time it's in the US it isn't being smoked. it gets sold to dealers, who sell it to lower dealers, and so on, and only a bit of it gets smoked along the way. people who can afford to deal in large amounts like that can afford to smoke GOOD pot, so they aren't going to waste their time on that stuff. by the time most of the brick weed gets sold to it's consumers, it's at least a year old or so.

didn't you see the pictures or the video? that shit is shwag, hands down.

besides, its not like that tunnel is a marvel of modern engineering. its less than a mile long and its very narrow. not to mention there have been PLENTY of tunnels such as that uncovered in the past few years. given the volume of cannabis they're dealing with its safe to say they aren't new to the industry, and given the fact that they've probably been around for a while and probably dealing with very large quantities for a while, they can probably quite easily afford a small tunnel to help them more easily smuggle their grass.

lol, hell yea nesta, breakin it down, exactly what I was gonna say, but you said it better cause I was too busy laughing over here at the thought that someone thinks that mexico exports their sensi in quantity like that, in bricks LMAO! Mexicans have had bomb sensi since the 70s, but it never makes it to America. The canadians do the same, exporting all their poorly dried/cured commercial bud to us (yea most of the 'bomb nugs' you smoke are commercial), while puffing on the true high-grade. It's just that the mexicans can have huuuuuge outdoor operations and just let all the buds seed, while ops in canada are generally indoor, making it easier to just clone females and produce nothing but sensi.

definitely. as a side note, this really isn't too impressive in my opinion. while this may be the longest tunnel so far discovered by the feds, its by no means the most sophisticated. i seem to remember reading in the news a few years ago about a tunnel they found with some kind of track or something inside or carts to help carry larger quantities more quickly and easily. you'd have a hard time getting a cart or anything through a 3.5foot wide passage.

I can't wait til drug traffickers are the first people to invent molecular transportation, like portals lmao. Hey, if anyone's got the money and the motivation, it's them haha.
