congrats :) I'm glad you like it.

I have mine done, too, and it's by far my favorite piercing.

    i love it.

i had it done the first time over a year ago and had to take it out for various reasons. But now it's back and not going anywhere. I LOVE IT!!

nose piercings are the best! i got mine done early last fall, and it's definitely my fav piercing. it's teensy and subtle...at least i think so. when i look in the mirror it's not like BAM! nose ring...but when i see it on other people i tend to notice it a bit more. i really don't know...but i definitely love how it looks. congratulations!

You just reminded me of what i wanted to get done. A small silver stud on the right side of my nose. How much does it cost anyway, $20???

At my shop they are 65 for a stud and 75 if you add a gem. our jewlrey is internally threaded so it's a little more expensive. I don't feel like getting into a debate here so i won't go into why it's better, but if you wanted to be less safe you can find places that will do it for forty with externally threaded jewlrey. I know people who have both and both are fine. I just wouldn't recommend the later. And prices vary too... that's just shops by my house and since American's are greedy bastards, i'm sure you probably could get it cheaper in Australia. But i don't know. Never been to your country; I've kind of ignorant to your economics. And to the original poster, glad you like your piercing. it's always good when a new modification makes you feel good about yourself.

i agree that internally threaded is better, but why is the nostril jewelry threaded?

it isn't all threaded. we have nose screws and regular nose studs as well. but for larger gems we use flat backs with gem screws. i was just giving a higher price range so she had an idea. it depends on what you get. we mostly pierce with hoops or flatbacks to start though.

it's different for everyone. i don't think noses hurt as much as lobes. but you could find it a little more than a pinch. it depends on your tolerance. give it a try. it's better to do something and regret it then never do it all and wander what could have been.

i've always wanted to get my nose pierced - but the only thing that holds me back is the fact that i have allergies/sinus problems... they're not severe allergies or anything, but i was wondering how well a nose piercing would work in that case.. and if it would cause me a lot of extra grief during the healing process? i mean, im still gonna get it eventually, i just wanted an idea of what i'd be getting myself into ya know?
