Does anyone else ever feel "burned out" after coming down from a high? i like getting stoned (just like everyone else on this forum :) ) but the feeling of being burned out the next day bothers me. i feel lazy, and i don't really want to do much. i just don't feel like myself. so i was wondering, am i alone in this feeling? and, if i'm not, does anyone have any tips/tricks to getting this feeling gone, or avoiding it all together?

yeah, thats why i usually smoke more....i honestly don't remember the last time i was actually "sober"...i guess being baked is normal for me...

  6. When i'm just a little high i usually come down really good, go to sleep and wake up as if nothing happened. But when I get absolutely ripped I usually raid a fridge or the shops and binge on alcohol, pizza, chocolate and all kinds of nasty shit...I just ate 2 plates of nachos and a pancake stack...I feel like im gonna die..and i gotta work tommorow too, im gonna be fucked

That "burned out" feeling after smoking pot is called drug "after effects" in the Medical field. All drugs have undesirable effects AFTER the main effects of the given drug wears off. They are quite natural and will go away over time. There are individual biological and psychological differences between people, so some people may recover quicker than others.

Pot does make people more "layed-back" and "lazy". This is natural, too. Alcohol makes people more aggressive and out-going, but causes even nastier side effects like: a throbbing headache, nausea, upset stomach and hemorrholids.

I used to like to smoke pot 4 hours before bedtime, so I could "trip" for 4 hours, then when it wore off (at about that time), I felt very sleepy and then would fall asleep, quite easily.

The "after effects" are harder to counteract. For a short time I took small doses of amphetamines ("white cross" - white tablets, which were NOT methamphetamine) to wake up, but I stopped after a few weeks since I didn't want to get addicted to them, because they have the potential to cause brain damage (mostly with high-dose, long-term use), while pot, on the other hand, can sometimes actually help grow new brain fibers!

All that I can recommend is MULTI-VITAMINS/MINERALS, SPIRULINA and SEA KELP tablets (found at Health Food Stores), plus one cup of strong coffee, or GREEN TEA is even better (just after getting up), unless you're not into caffeine. Early morning exercise would help get the old blood flowing, too! A shower messager may be a good idea, to stimulate blood circulation. Experiment and use what what works best for you!

In the late 70's, when teenagers were into "heavy metal" music (and juvenile delinquency was at an all time high), teenage drug users were known by the "street slang" name of "burn outs". It's that "burned out" feeling of drug's after effects. This was my middle brother's teenage generation, not mine! I was a teenager in the mid 60's to mid 70's. Groovy Baby!

    Peace out. Smoke out.

I only get burnt out only if I wake n' bake... but a good burnout-killer is a large amount of water and some Motrin. =)

I always seem to smoke at night, and I can sleep it off quite easily. If I smoke in the morning/noon then I usually feel burnt out for just a couple hours. Then I'm back to normal. It's all good for me...

Go to GNC and pick up a container of Guarana pills; I take one every time and it helps so much... Costs like $6 for a thing of 100 capsules...

  14. I thought so, sorry i was too ripped yesterday to give any advice...but eating raw apples, carrots and celery will clean your system a little and make you feel refreshed. I find coffee makes you sick, tea is a bit more pleasant.

yeah, DON'T go to sleep stoned. It fries you. Wait until you're totally down.
It's also possible that your shit isn't so good. Or maybe it's TOO good! THat can't really be determined. You are most probably sensitive to it and that's why it gives you a 'hangover'. Alot of it may be psychological too. Try getting some exercise. That could drastically help too.

I've been an insomniac for years. I'm not sure if it's weed related or not.
