bit of i dilemma, i like the whole hippy ethos, non violence and all that.

but i love arnie films, god nothing gets me going more than a scene where he grabs someone, impales them on a pipe then says something like "let of some steam" or "what a hot head"

i feel dirty after watching these films. is it a wrong love i should keep secret?

I know exactly how you feel. I used to have a pet turtle called Skippy who was born with two shells.

to be honest i think you should chill, smoke a woodbine and have a glass of warm camomile tea.

violence is only accecptable if we accept it

I don't think people realise how trippy arnie can be - especially in Total Recall. There's a bit where he says

"If I'm not me - then who the hell am I?"

Go on read that again. And ponder a while....

If that isn't the equivalent of taking an acid in the 60s then I don't know tie dye! it's questioning the very fabric of existence.

    don't under-estimate arnie.

Too true. Another bit from a film - this time from terminator

Arnie stands at a door. "Knock knock". Then he blows the door off the hinges with a shotgun, before anyone can answer or open it for him.

He is answering the conundrum of "knock knock, who's there?" with the answer of ME! And to prove his inherent existedness in this plane he affirms with : I will blow this door out of my way to prove my very is-ness.

It's like he is the physical embodiment of the statement "I think therefore I am" but amended to read "I blow doors off of hinges therefore I am".

And then you realise he is terminator - a robot. It seems it has consciousness too - self-realisation. And all this from something which APPEARS simple, the act of a robot saying a witty one liner before blowing the shit out of a door. Fucking deep or what?

My opinions are equivalent to an infinite amount of anvils, dropping an infinitie amount of heaviness on an infinite amount of objects.

Wouldn't it be a lot heavier man if they all dropped on a single tiny object - like then it would be even more concentrated and all fo that stuff so they would obviously have to shrink down while they were descending but matter can do that if you are watching the event. That would be uber cool : )

I'm with your weight on this groove Glen. :D

    no way duuuuuuuuuude!

It doesn't matter, because it's infinity, infinity x infinity = infinity!

Infinity times 1 equals some kind of far out but ultimately futile trip maaan!

You're still not getting infinity, i see.

loveeggs - dude, you just put me on a bad trip talking about trees falling over. surely you know that they are our friends on this planet?

get with the program you equilateral rectangle - since you're not hip that means SQUARE.

if the godhead can see a sparrow falling from the sky, I think it would have the awareness of a large oak. Unless it was distracted by one hand clapping
