Hey, anyone hittin up any of the northeastern stops on this summer tour? My friend billy is comin down from the great state of Vermont, and we're hitting up both PNC and both Jones Beach shows for sure, possibly a couple others if we have the time and money. We have tickets for 2 of those 4 shows and we'll probably spend the other two sellin some kind of yummy munchies out in the lot (we were at phish's coney island shows selling pita-hummus sandwhiches if you remember us) stop by our stand and say high, buy a sandwhich, smoke a joint, whatever. All aboard........you're either on the bus or off the bus . P.S. If you got nothing to do on the day off between the PNC and Jones Beach shows, you might want to come out to Long Island (my home town!) a day early and catch Crosby Stills and Nash at Jones Beach. If you can't get tickets, just show up anyway, you can chill on the shore of the bay and hear the whole thing, if done that a few times and the cops haven't kicked me out yet.
pita hummis s'mitches!!!! yum! My daughters favorite. We will be there, my lil family and I. My 12yr old is ready w/ tix for both nites. we are from LBI, NJ and PNC is a mellow show to take a kid to. Not doin Jones beach, though. Sorry I had a rough time there last year. First and last time there. Nothing to do with venue, just the trip there. I dont know, I might just follow you for the good eats.. hehehe
i will be at jones beach!!!!! i used to live on long island, and am going back to visit relatives as well as catch the dead. unfortunately, i will be travelling by myself, so if anyone is gonna be at jones beach, PM me or something, i'd love to make some new friends
not sure bout camden but totally at pnc. got a tix for the first night only. probably chill the next evening on lot unless i can find a miracle. then heading to coventry can't wait. i'll look for ya drbeaker. peace & hugs lovelies
i'll be seeing them both nights at the tweeter in mass then going to saratoga springs at the spac. can't wait! im thinking of maybe going to the hartford show there as well. magical times in hartford last year with the dead.... peace
I was at hartford last year too, great setlist. It was my first time seeing "the dead" as opposed to phil and phriends or the other ones, and they did not disappoint. A rollicking st. stephen and Joan Osbourne's stylized Sugaree were highlights, and ya had to love the Me & Bobby McGee cover in the 1st set. I wonder how this tour will be different without Joan, who's gonna sing on the ballads? As much as I love Phil, singing is not is forte, especially on the Jerry ballads.
i have the bootlegs of the hartford show and i love listening to it. it was such a great show... in the pouring rain and all. i think the rain just made it more magical. i swear the raindrops were little rainbows sometimes. were you out on the lawn too? i was bummed out that joan wasnt on tour again this year because i loved her last summer. warren haynes does a good job. i saw him with phil and friends in the fall and again at bonnaroo. they did a bobby mcgee there and it was pretty good. peace
See ya there..!.. I'll also be heading to Quebec for the world gathering and looking for some green energy riders. =)..
Warren dose it up he really sounds great ......whats up with the lots ant Pnc ??? ill be there the 11th and i am wondering what time the lots open????

PEACE N LOVE ,sunny
Oh, and if anyone needs a place to stay for cheep while they're in Holmdel for the shows, I just made reservations at Cheesquake state park, which is only about 10 minutes by car from the show. Campsites are for up to 6 people (but only 2 tents and 2 vehicles) and only cost $30 for 2 nights (there's a 2 night minimum, I'll be staying for the nights of both shows). If you bring in the maximum amount of people, that's only 5 bucks a head for 2 nights, can't beat it! For more info go to the new jersey parks department website and pick it out from the parks directory. See ya there!
Hey, I'll be heading over to the Tweeter Center tom. too for both nights! Ever see the Dead there before? I haven't but I bet it will be a rockin venue. I've seen the Dead a few times this tour and they are rockin! 100x better than last year and last year they were damn good. Who knows maybe I'll see you there!
