does anyone know some pretty good alcohol recipes, that are good tasting and a fairly high alcohol percent? i've got the recipe for dandiloin wine..anyone tried that? is it good?
Define "fairly high alcohol content". Straight fermentation can't produce anything stronger than wine, because the rising alcohol content kills the yeast that produce the alcohol. Even with a highly tolerant yeast, you aren't going to go above about 10% alcohol, or 20 proof. If you want a higher alcohol product, you will need to get into distillation, which may or may not be legal where you live.
I tried making alcoholic lemonade once from a kit, it was repulsive. Also tried making lager and that was rough too and all the work outweighed the results. But home-made wine is excellent and you can't really go wrong. But your only 14 years old which is a concern.
when i was a kid we picked bushel baskets of dandylion heads that our family made into wine. they liked it.i thought it was the most god-awful ,bitter slop that i had EVER tasted.....then again i was partial to boones farm's, strawberry hill...(lol) making booze is tricky to get good tasting and SAFE TO DRINK ,results......peace
