Here is how this works: 1) I will ask a trivia question that can be answered with Biblical Scripture. The book and verse must be used to answer the question. 2) The person who answers the question correctly, will then post their question... so on and so forth. 3) If a question is not answered correctly within 24 hours, the person who posed the question will provide the answer then post another. 1st Q - Under which renowned Jewish scholar did Saul receiving his religious instruction from? :sunglasse
The answer is Gamaliel. Found in Acts 22:3. I wanted to respond to the response though. The answer to the first question is "someone who reads and studies the Bible." It is NOT a useless fact, though. Paul dropped a name. This name can be cross referenced for dates, places, time frames, etc. In short, this gives us the ability to verify the accuracy and authorship of the book. If we can find other recorded instances of Gamaliel outside of scripture, then we have more support for the historical accuracy of the book of Acts. Names, dates, or places are never insignificant in an ancient work.
Why are christians so concerned with proveing stuff like that(acuracy and autorship)..it absolutely useless...the book was written by man, not by god, therefore...it is mans book, not gods, it's mans everything. go by god, not by a book.
