    Hi,
I know that St. John's Wart suppliments have been linked to causing birth control pills less effective, if not useless in some cases. I didn't realize it until this morning but the tea that I have been drinking "Celestial Seasonings: Mood Mender", contains St. John's Wart. Yikes! Luckily I haven't had sex this week, and I caught this before tonight (hehehe wink wink). But now I am concerned. It says that there is 800 mg of St. John's Wart (Hypericum perforatum herb) and 60 mg of St. John's Wart (standardized extract).

I really like the flavor of this tea (that is why I bought it) I guess I need to know if first of all there is any truth to this messing with Birth Control, and if so, is there enough in this tea to mess with mine. I absolutely am not trying to have any children, so I can give up the tea! Does anyone else know of any yummy tea. I love hot tea.

You should go to a co-op and look for Yogi tea's. The Kava stress relief one is really good, but they all are. Namaste

how can you have diet green tea? It would be like having diet chamomile or other herb tea.

lol oh no this is the turkey hill kind that is cold in the supermarket. when they make tea like that, they load it full of sugar, which isn't too healthy. then again whatever sugar substitute they use in the diet form isn't too healthy either. unfortunately with working one job full time during the day and going to school 2 nights out of the week, then training people on the side, I really haven't got the time to make my own tea. :( but as far as hot tea, i just get the regular old kind of tea bags and i don't usually use any sweetener or anything else in it, so that wouldn't have to be diet.

ahhhh - although I wouldn't think that sugar and green tea get along. I much prefer a bit of honey *drools* I can't wait for the heat to go away so I can start drinking my teas again.
