soo like 20 minutes ago I cleaned my pipe, my glass one had some res in it and I was hurtin so I got the alcahol and started cleanin, lit it on fire cuz I didnt wanna wait and waited, it made alot of smoke and set off the fire alarm LMFAo, I know now pot smoke isnt detected by it cuz I smoked quite a bit of pot in there before and it never went off but anyways the result at the end was a small ball of resin, almost rock hard that had like 10 good hoots in it. amazingly enough I caught a small buzz. now If I had 1 more buck I could go pick up a 5 bud for tonite to get a real great buzz..... oh shit Im rambling.
yeah that was abit of a random ramble :S, btw all smoke is detected by fire alarms, the fire alarms contain radio active material that a detector ( i forget wot its proper name is, its like one of those devices that go click click) about 1 cm away detects the waves (alpha particles probably) being emitted. when a room for example gets smokey the smoke blocks the path between the detector an the radioactive material, so less waves are detected thus settin the alarm off... the weed smoke probably wasnt as thick as the oil smoke, so thats y it probably dosnt go off, but id b careful sum random knowledge for ya
Yeah ppl shouldn't be too worried about smoke settin off the alarms if cigs don't. If cigs set off fire alarms then smokers wouldnt own them most likely.
ya I got the 99% iso shit. Ya a buck is still change here. We would ussually go to the store n get it changed to a bill, buuuuut they want me to buy something first before changin....like wtf they get the same amount of cash back why should I have to pay to get my money switched?
Since people are on the topic how often do you guys clean your pipes? I have never really clean any of mine with iso alcohol but just every time I change the screen in it I scrape out a little resin from the bowl that is getting in the way of things. Now I think it might be time to clean it. Do you think it is a lot worse (health wise) for you to smoke out of a dirty pipe with a good resin build up?
Theoretically, it would be worse than a clean pipe, because it'd have all the foul chemicals from burning plant matter. But I can't say for sure.
no im 100% sure its not gamma rays, the're pretty dam harmful to humans. plus, gamma rays can travel through bits of metal etc. so abit of smoke wouldnt stop em....
hhaa holy fuck yesterday I was all baked and thinkin about this conversataion cleaning the microwave and I turned the bottom as I cleaned and I thought I microwaved myself lmfao. then placebo made my hand feel strange. ya I shoul dbe putting the battry back in that fire alarm.
