    hi. i don't know why i haven't really posted here; i am an artist afterall!
    here are some of my portraits.

    the second one is awsome, the nose and the right eye are great. I dont like the first one so much because its more like a "still" to me, the second one is wonderful!

    hmm...thanks...

    yeah, the painting on the right is more my thing. for that, he took the photo himself. the other one is of my martial arts teacher. the photo was taken of him, so perhaps it was a bit more contrived. i'd say my paintings range between both, because some are impromptu (and i don't make money off em - they're for my collection!) and others are set up so people can have an 'official' portrait. sometimes people even have me change their features around so they look better!

    I like the first painting. It's very traditional. I'm not really a fan of modern art, so that's my opinion. I would keep doing what you like. Art is not about people liking it, it's about them looking at it and seeing what you've done. But what do I know? I'm still stuck in 1450.
