At work. I work in a approx. 10 x 15 enviornment and there is 6 surveillence cameras. One is mounted on the register monitor to watch money transactions. Two of them have powerful zooming options to where the owner can see the expressions on employees faces. He also has remote access from home so he can watch from the comfort of his house. He was telling me at one point, he had a voice recognition device but the township told him to get rid of it. Dude is straight paranoid and has major trust issues because he's been burned in the past. I have been employed there for 2 years now and have been the most loyal and trustworthy person to ever walk through the door. Thing is, being under constant surveillence is taking its toll on me and it seriously depresses me. I feel like lab rat. I brought it up with him and his response was that the store hasn't been robbed in 4 years and the reason for that is the presence of his cameras. Of course the initial response is "find a new job" but that's easier said than done if you knew my situation. Plus, I'm working on that. I've been 'acting like they aren't there' for a long time now so that approach has grown old. What are somethings I could possibly think about to set my mind at ease?
