k but when i'm smoking out of my glass pipe i get little pieces of weed in my mouth.. will that go away the more i use it?
No, but sometimes I find that ash will fly through, or even worse, burning embers. You can use a regular wire screen, but they tend to fall out unless they get resined it. You could also get a glass star filter, which I would reccomend if you feel like sparing the 2 bucks.
i very carefully knocked out the bottom of my bowl and put a screen in there, so that when i get some bud, i put a nice little bud in the bottom, and when im all out, i have the litle bud i saved!
You dont need a screen, just dont break up your weed that fine. Yeah resin will build up around the hole, making it smaller. If the ash is getting into your mouth when its near cashed, you may be trying to smoke the herb when its already completely burned. Or just dont chief so hard at the end.
I love my glass star filters, I won't toke without them anymore! I find they make the hit much smoother and I don't get ash in my mouth.
resin buildup will definitely help. and, like everyone else is saying, just pack it tight and dont grind it up so much.
yea sounds like your pullin pretty hard.. once the cherry gets goin lay off the lighter.. and toke how much you feel comfortable with.. or how fast and how much you plan on gettin baked... and thats why I love having water bongs.. cool down smoke, no weed, ash, embers.. in my mouth thoa I do like hittin off the pipe once in awhile I never seem to have a problem with them.. like you got..
Theyre little star shaped pieces of glass that you set down in the bowl, then put weed on top of it. It keeps the bud from pulling through. Ive used one when someone gave me one, but found it annoying because I always dump my bowl into an ashtray, and would forget about the star thing.
