In particular, the song "Always Be My Baby" It's the greatest song ever. EVER. It's totally sappy and sweet, and some would probably consider it a chick song. But I LOVE IT and I'm not afraid to admit it! Wooo!
i have pictures of her wedding to tommy mottola at home. my parents are friends with a guy who used to manage her and he sent us some doubles of their wedding pictures. her music annoys the crap out of me.

That is very true, Soul-Rebel. Her attitude is rude and obnoxious, she doesn't dress right for her body (cover those thighs, sister), and her songs are annoying. BTW, she doesn't write her own music...what kind of artist is THAT?
I think she is quite a good singer.. but her body man that is HOT. I can watch any video she is in.. too ell with what she is singing about. You go girlfriend... I have to say though her attitude at Live8 sucked... i did go off her a bit.. then i looked at her body again... and thought mmmmmm you are forgiven..
Does to me... Singing about something you don't necessarily believe seems hypocritial. Then it becomes JUST about the money and fame. Seems that's what Mariah just feeds off of.
I think it is about sharing that song with a audience.. you don't ALWAYS have to share the sentiment.. but if it is sung well with feeling [or attitude]..you can fake it... wich i guess you may not like ?. Imho i don't think who wrote it matters. Many 'classic' songs where churned out by writing teams..In the wrong hands would sound awful...but with the right 'voice' seem like they were sent from heaven...and are the most meaningful songs out there.. Generic love songs do suck.. i guess... but how many songs that she has sung that she may not have wrote, have touched many people ?. I do agree recently when she is just singing some rubbish with no 'heart' it is just to shift records.. once that lady did have 'soul'.. wich i guess is my point.
If i makes you feel good, then awesome. Listen to her, be proud. I think she sucks though, and as stated above, I think her whole persona is obnoxious.
