This is my baby. The VaporGenie. It's incredible. I ordered it a few months ago from vaporgenie.com. It's almost like smoking a bowl, but it's a vaporizer. It's better for you, you get like twice as high for you money, and it's only 50 bucks. It's portable, and it uses convection like all the good electric ones not conduction like the lightbulb and the crappy electrics. Even though I just got busted and can't smoke I will not get rid of this. I have to get rid of all my paraphernalia for safety but I could never part with my Genie. Though it's tough to pass it around, it works well with 2-3 people and it was pretty much the only way I ever smoked alone. Works alright for tobacco too for anyone who is trying to quit smoking or trying to smoke healthier.

Yes, it's used with a lighter. You load the bowl, then screw on the top. You want to break up the herb to get the most surface area. You hold the flame over the top, and inhale deeply and gently. There's a filter in the top, so that the flame is cooled enough to vaporize the herb and not burn. The first time I used it, I did it a little wrong and burned the herb. But the 3 or 4 other people who I've used it with never had a problem, and I have't since.

How does the pot heat up to just the right temp?

The flame filter cools it down enough. The herb will heat more or less depending on how hard you draw and how big the flame is. It sounds complicated, but it's really not that hard.

The hot air which is drawn through from the lighter is what heats the herb, instead of the herb being heated off of a heated surface, which is conduction.

    It's free...included in the 50 dollars. I'm pretty sure that's all over the U.S.

It smells the same as any vaporizer. If you get a huge hit, like one that makes you question if you burned it or not, it might smell a little bit right after you blow it out. But it will go away VERY quickly, it won't linger like smoke. It's really hard to smell it unless you blow it in someone's face. If you're worried about it smelling, I'd get the hang of if in a place where you couldn't get in trouble if you burned it and smelled. That's what I did, and I did burn it a bit. But after that I got used to it and never had any trouble with it, it vaporized perfectly

That is really cool. I have been looking for a good vaporizer but I am afraid to pay $200+ for one that doesnt work well and ends up just collecting dust.

I was loking at the Vapir 3.0 vaporizer from http://www.air-2.com/ but that is about $150 and I dont have the cash for it now. I may have to save up a little bit of money and try this Genie thing out. Thanks for the find
