Autumn and just before the leaves start to turn ......... the season that brings the richest colours and the most food... the birds and animals are calmer too.. most of the hard work of rearing their young has been done... the earth is still warm but the air feels fresher and healthier.. its a time of gathering and preparing... its a truly beautiful season

Summer for me. If I can't take off enough clothes to stay cool, I can always jump in the Lake. But then I'm also in Alabama so it feels like summer most of the year anyway. I just love the heat. I want to visit New Brunswick someday but it's like 61 degrees there right now. Sheesh.

I would love our(alabama) summers if they werent so Humid!!

Thats why I like the winter time around here, its not too cold, its just the right kind of cold, probably similar to other regions' fall.

I love winter for its darkness and cold cleanliness. In winter, chaos "leaves" the world and everything is orderly. In the darkness we can find room for contemplation and reflection more so than in those dominated by the energy of disorder.

There is a peace in the emptiness and simplicity of winter.

Yeah winter cleanses the earth(or at least the half of earth that is under winter). As someone else said, it is easier to be more spiritual in the winter than it is in the summer time.

I would say I'm equally spiritual in both winter and summer--it's just more apparent in the winter because winter encourages BLATANT spiritualism. One is left to retreat into the thoughts of one's own mind and thoughts therefore manifest more easily. In summer, the mind extends itself to the material world and experiences a different side of the universe--equally important, but perhaps not corresponding to my alignment at this present stage of my journey.

Maybe one day I can look beyond the seasons.

It's a toss up. I love spring, the rainbow of colors when the flower bulbs emerge that I planted. The trees come to life with several shades of green and burgundy and the sun is warming yet not baking me. I also love the fall, all the shades of yellow and orange and red so beautiful and the weather is nor hot or cold. I can do without the baking sun of summer and the freezing cold of winter is my worst. I drive down the highway and I get depressed because the only shades I see are black and white and gray.

I love Autumn. I love stepping out of my front door in the morning when the sun is just coming up and the chill in the air wakes me up nicely. I got married in Autumn :)
There's just something special about this season, it's too short though!

BTW Heron - October is my favourite month too :)

Autumn, mmmmmm yes! Even though living in So. calif we hardly have what one would call "seasons", I live at a higher elevation were we do see changes abiet small ones. The air is rich with the scent of decay; pecans drop on your head; the garden sends out one last burst of richness before going to sleep and the apples tastes so sweet!

I've always loved autumn, despite the fact that Samhain falls into it... and I hate the fact that winter follows it... but it's such a beatiful season.
