I hear alot about colleges having alot of heavy monitoring on computer use. If i have my computer using there provided net, can I still safely go to hipforums?
I found hip forums and hip planet while at college. I've been looking up a lot of weed-related stuff, drew the line at in depth grow guides, just to be safe, between the school and the government. If you go to a very conservative college, then it may be a problem, but probably not. Hang out around here for a while, and if your internet doesn't get shut down, then you're fine.
I assume adoutsider is a freshman, and a lot of freshman are required to live on campus, which gets rid of your own internet. But it's practically the same, I'm always connected at 4 or 5 megs, unless it's got a lot of traffic, but it's still not bad.
