none exist. except ephedrine at gas stations, because it makes you feel like shit afterwars so you wont want to do it again after awhile.

meh....I had a list going in my head until I read that you don't want to get addicted. Really though, if you don't do them often enough then you probably won't get addicted....but at the moment Xanax's are my favorite, and cyclobenzaprine is pretty fun.

If you're interested in pills you'll probably want to check out the pharmaceuticals subforum (Wait, that's where we are - time for another Vicodin :). All opiods, including dilaudid, are addictive, so just about any mind-altering substance is out if you use that restriction. As PL&MJ said though, most drugs, pharmaceutical or otherwise, only pose a threat of addiction if used in large doses over a period of time. In fact anything that causes pleasure is potentially addictive, but that's another discussion.

Actually if it wasn't for pain issues I would probably do more methadone. It's a good high, it's cheap, long-lasting and has a less vicious bite than oxycodone-based drugs.

Cyclobenzaprine, Soma, Xanax & Valium, and Klonopin exibit more of a 'downer' effect and are preferred by some over the opiods or as an 'antidote' to aid with sleep or make it through dry times. Sort of the same preference to speed and pot, some like one over the other, some like both depending on the situation.

I guess the main idea I should try to pitch here is what I've always preached. Different drugs affect different people in different ways. Being the age you post, the best advice is to not be so much concerned about which type of drugs, but how much. Pharmaceuticals afford a unique benefit in that you always have a pretty good idea what you're about to do, and what to expect. Just don't try to do too much too quick, or get impatient and not let an injested pill take effect before you snort another one. I know there's no way I can talk you out of doing drugs if you feel like doing them, nor do I really want to. All I can do is commend you for choosing the one of the lesser 'evils'.

I would say that of the pills I take daily that the following are the favorite for me followed by the general effect.

Adderal XR - This pill helps with my ADHD and thus the general effect is increased ability to organize and concentrate on a higher level and to reduce the symptoms of the ADHD.

Artane- This pill is an anti parkinsons pill for the side effects of my past use of psycotropic meds and its effects are to help with the rigidity and muscle spasm and invoulentary movements.

Baclofen - This pill is a Skeletal Muscle Relaxer and helps with the spasms in my upper torso.

Elavil - This is an anti-depressant medication which is now being experimented by the Pain Management doc to help with nerve damage and neurapathy pain.

Morphine Sulfate SR - This pill is a long acting form of Morphine Sulfate which helps to relieve the moderate to severe pain and reduce the pain associated with chronic pain.

Protonix - This pill helps with the acid reflux and the GERD which is greatly needed to help keep my esophogis from getting holes in it and eroding away.

Roxicodone - This pill is an opiate pain medication which helps reduce my symptoms of Chronic Pain and is a form of Oxycodone HCL, which is not timed realeased and helps ease my pain. Used for 'Breakthrough' It contains no acetametaphin and really helps with chronic pain.

Valium - This pill I have been taking for 13+ years and helps with anxiety and pain from my CNS disorder and relaxes my spasms.

Just about all the above have recreational value, however, when taken for ligitimate need as in Chronic Pain, it is next to impossible to obtain euphoria from them by me. I suggest not starting a regular use of any medication which is not prescribed as even managing the medications as prescribed can be difficult in itself, as over time the medications become less effective as tolerance builds and even taken as prescribed, over time dependance does occur, to say addiction of narcotics even when needed as daily limits and tolerance can make some overtake in order to be free of pain. It is a vicious cycle. Peace RXhead
