My personal favorite is Led Zeppelin (I). It's an amazing debut album rivaling, in my opinion, the greatness of the Doors' debut, which has a good reputation as an amazing debut album. I love "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" and "How Many More Times." Actually, "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" is probably my favorite Led Zeppelin song. I also like Led Zeppelin II quite a bit, but not as much as I. "The Lemon Song" is quite good and "Moby Dick" is interesting. "Whole Lotta Love" is a classic Zeppelin tune as well. I have Presence on vinyl and, sadly, I think I can actually say I've never listened to it :&. I bought it figuring I'd listen to it in the future. Well, maybe the future is now. I should check it out. I also have Physical Graffiti, but I don't think I've listened to it either... I have listened to Houses of the Holy a few times, but my only vinyl copy has some nasty scratches and some weird, gross mold crap on the sleeve... eww. I need to brush up on my Led Zeppelin I guess.
Zeppelin III...by far the best...My dad played me this vinyl when i was 12 and i have never been the same.....its just raw music...raw power....its Zeppelin..oh, and Tangerine is glorious...peace and vision
my two favs are II and III, but I like everything up to CODA. it just so happens that I just finished listening to II and just hit "play" on "Houses...."
Although Stairway to Heaven is my favourite Led Zeppelin song. I've always liked Led Zeppelin 3 as my favourite album.
the ocean track is soooo great ssong I love it really it's the shit. I don't like the song "stairway to heaven" as much, like it but not my fav... i dunno why, really... although i could just melt during the intro -it's fuckin awesome! oh, I agree. i could die happy if that song was blasting loud enough... sadly my stereo doesn't reach that level hahaha... i never liked that song because it always leaves me crying... "NO! nooooOoOoOOoo pleeease please please Robert Plant don't go!" hahaha... oh well. oh i love Led Zeppelin. And whether you all want to admit it or not, "immigrant song" is awesome beyond words! it was the first one that came to my mind now and I love it! http://www.public.asu.edu/~mharp/viking_kittens/VikingKitten.htm ooo i hope its clickable! anyways I love em all. If Jimmy Page was god... it'd be an interesting world wouldn't it. ooOoOoOo that hair... ~~rock on~~
Oh yes, "Immigrant Song" is excellent. It would have been sweet to hear that for the first time back in 1970. Hehe, thanks for that link. That's pretty funny. I made something similar to that for school last year (for a class called "Multimedia") only I didn't use "Immigrant Song," I used The Who's "Tattoo." Yes, yes indeed. What if Jim Morrison was God?
I really don't know which one would be my favorite... I love everything they did until Physical Graffiti, which is an amazing album... I guess my favorite might be III, though.
if Jim Morrison was god... oh, it'd still be an interesting world and I'd still fantasize about said god's hair... but this, alas is another thread entirely! that's pretty awesome! I'd love to have seen it! But then again, my love for the Who is also another thread... hahaha... yeppers! you're always great on these forums, man, you're always hip now if you'll excuse me I'm feeling the need to get the Led out! ~~rock on~~
Their Destroyer set from Cleveland (can't remember the year. 1977, maybe) is exquisite. Quality is great. My set has the song titles penciled in on the records. Moby Dick w/ feedback is very trippy. Nice Tangerine, nice Going to California.
