Hey for anyone interested in 2012, mayan calenders, or understanding the cosmic cycles I just wanted to start an open forum, maybe add a link that may or may not be helpful... I see the natural observance of our earth/moons movements through space as integral to our mission and I suggest we move away from centering nationals on an arbitrarily defined gregorian calendar and US holiday of Independence(celebrated by gunpowder by the way) on the 4th to move it to the month prior to the day out of time, or the last month of the natural year... check out the calenders see what you think, add what you may, and learn what you can.. loving every atom in each of you

also, i wanted to thank you for the links. the mayan calendar makes a lot of sense to me & it seems that a lot of people still don't know about it. good to spread the word!
but, i do agree with crystaleyez above....i just don't think the switch would work

if you dig in astrology, there's a nice thread on the calendar. Might be worth the dredging.

Also, using Independence day kind of makes sense as we are the alternative to the gunpowder culture in many ways.

    heres the calander from 13moon...
it's interestig how there are 13 tones of creation, as there are actually 13 notes in music, the thirteenth being the self perpuating constant or "phantom note".

Naw we stuck around longer because my bf's dad got in a bad car accident. He's OK now. We're now done visiting family and have made it from middle Canada to the west coast. We're in Vancouver. The day after tomorro we'll be in Washington. Then we'll be in Portland and Eugene Oregon. Then we'll be in the redwoods and Frisco and Arcata. Then we'll be at the Grande Canyon. Then we'll (hopefully) be in Arizona in time for the gem show. We're hitching you see. Then we'll take a bus from Tuscon to Nogales and be in Mexico.

To make a long story short, no we're not in Mexico yet.

the earth is naturally involed in cycles such as build up of ice at the poles, a rare phenominin in earths history and only because of the way the earth is tilted the contintent necessary to build such a large mass of ice, antartica is available. before the earth was tilted such, such ice did not grow . It, now there, bears an immense load in the unbalanced planet hovering over an entire planet, and helps the "tilt" progress and if it were to slip into the sea, the earth would snap back into it's natural position, resulting in a global cataclysm such that brought doom to the epochs of eans.
it is just natural cycles. it sounds so bad to talk about, but believe me, it's proven scientic stuff. Mother earth works in mysterious ways, but in a Lot of ways, if you give it the time of thought it makes a lot of sence. death and renewal...again nature talking to us through the haze, shining a beakon of light of hope. it's amazing to consider the future. to think the fall of the dinasours gave rise to the birds who overran the primates forcing them down into the grond. nature alyaws seems to have a plan :)
