I just thought I'd share my excitement that I'm finally getting a REAL guitar to replace the one I bought at Sams, haha. I just ordered her today, a Schecter Omen-6. Man, I can't stop staring at it, hehehe. :)

Schecters are alright for the money, but keep an eye on them... they have problems as they get older, though I could say the same about this generation of Gibbies. It's not nearly as bad as Norlin's era.

Oh yea, I understand totally. I'm on a budget right now, thats why I got a less-expensive one. I probably won't need to worry about age because I'll most likely have enough cash to get an even nicer one in a few years.

Is Strat is all you really need. Nice guitar though. Hope you enjoy it.

Its a pretty one. My tastes, I'd add Red Pinstriping. Enjoy.

that's far from true...i play a strat and sometimes need something else. for example, i don't like playing jazz on a strat you know. contrary to popular belief, strats can't do it ALL, just most of it.

strats suck. they are cheap, peices of shit, with no good tone and horrid action....granted this is coming from a guy who has never owned anything but Vintage Gibsons....(Electric: 1962 Les Paul Melody Maker, Acoustic: 1958 Small Body).....strats are for people who just want to play once and a while, but don't really want to advance , because they are living room players....

gear is fine, but its not the gear that makes the music its the player.

which is why tons of professional musicians play them, right?
clapton, hendrix, jeff beck, jerry garcia at one point, buddy guy, robert cray, srv...yeah, they're definitely all living room players.

duk of prunes, gear does matter...the player is the most important part but gear is really important too.

Wow, I seriously don't even know what to say to that. You call yourself a guitar player? Do you know anything? You seriously have no fuckin clue as to anything having to do with guitars do you? I hate to bring an old cliche arguement up but if my memory serves, Clapton wasn't a living room player was he? Hmm, don't think Hendrix was either, George Harrison? No. Don't think so. You're a moron. Don't ever reply to any of my posts ever again.

no it does not make the musician. but most people who do say this have never used really good equipment.

wow, you are a bitch. i've never seen someone expose how much of a pussy they are in a post. but anyway, try and compare a strat to a Gibson or a Rickenbacker, you will be left in the dust.....

pablo escobar, that was a bit extreme haha...strats aren't cheap pieces of shit either...i love mine. there's a diff. between cheap and inexpensive and some strats are inexpensive like the standards.

gibsons are totally overpriced too, man. great guitars but way too epensive. strats are good if you're ona budget and don't want to give an arm, a leg, and your first born for a damn les paul.

Haha, yeah man. It's an internet forum, douche bag. You don't expose things about yourself on them. What the fuck are you talking about comparing for? I prefer Fender over Gibson but obviously I'd take a Rickenbacker over anything. No one was comparing anything before. You said something stupid so I corrected you. There were no comparisons.
