oh god did I tear up. I recorded a lot back in 2000 when our first was born and just today watched the tapes for the first time. Especially the part where she's holding her little brother and says, "lil brudder". I could melt.
But the time when it was just her, she asked me while watching "where's Dylan?" I explained to her that he wasn't born yet but she doesn't really understand and it is hard for me to come up with a legitimate excuse for her. How often do you guys look at old photos or video?

    Awww that's lovely :)

My mother is a 'creative memories' consultant. So she has made loads of photo albums and we look through them a fair bit.

We call our home video's "The Billy & John Show". My son's love to watch the videos.

I am so grateful we have these videos to watch. When I was a little girl we didn't have such technology.

It's crazy being 18 now and watching home videos of when I was 4 or 5. In every single video, my brother and I are singing. On our backyard swings, in the snow (aka half inch of crusty ice), at the Lincoln monument, in Arizona, jumping on my bed... It's really cute. It was like every time the camera turned on, it was song and dance with Allie and Jonny time!

Sadly, my brother taped over many of the home videos to tape movies on tv when we were younger. Just about the only things we have are a few singing escapades and a dance recital when I was 6 where I had no idea what was going on and danced offstage. :p

We call em "Baby Tapes." Bear just bought a machine that can transfer your video tapes to DVD and I can't wait to do this. Some of these tapes are 15 years old, and we well lose them if they aren't transfered.

We didn't have a video camera until our second child was two, so we missed a lot with the first two. I have one, hour long tape that a freind took when Sunshine was two and Moon was 5 months, but nothing before that.

One of the funniest is when Lennon was about 3 weeks old and Moon who was three, was holding him, and he pukes all over her, and she gets the most disgusted look on her face. Then, as I'm working the camera, my sister is trying to get a diaper to wipe him and Moon is yelling, "I don't want him, I don't want him!!!!!" And losing her grip, and he's falling sideways (they were on a carpeted floor) and his expression isn't changing at all, he's just looking very Zen about the entire event ("I gues this is what happens to you when you are number three.") All you can hear is my sister and I laughing so hard, we can barely breathe. It's family classic. The Day Lennon Puked on Moon.

One more thing. I was born in the early 60s, and my parents didn't even have the money for a camera or film. There are only a few pics of me as a baby, maybe about 10 before Kindergarten, there are few pics before I am about 5 or so, and we certainly didn't have any money for 8MM or 16MM movies. I was always jealous of my freinds who had movies of themselves as babies.

That's just precious HHF. I myself look at old baby pictures and videos quite often of my kids. It always makes me cry though. I just can't believe how fast time flies.
