Not that the previously mentioned band are not good, but I am going to make a stand for the boys of Incubus. They are constantly changing and there is so much more going on in their music than appears on the surface

See for me it was Smashing Pumpkins. Being a teenager of the 90's, they got me through alot of shit. Billy was not just a great singer and song writer, but also a total hottie (IMHO)
I also have always loved Live, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Filter, Sublime, Radiohead, Stabbing Westward, and Weezer.

Nirvan, Oasis, Perl Jam, were always too over rated for me. I never really got the whole nirvana thing or the Oasis thing. I always thought that they were whinning.

okay, im gonna say Rage, Dave Matthews, and Incubus are my faves. though 311, Sublime, and Pearl Jam are my others.

Rage and Incubus are fuckin awesome bands, though the best drummer award goes to Carter from Dave. Best singer goes to Zack frfom Rage. best bassist goes to P-Nut from 311. Best guitarist goes to Tom from Rage. best Rhythm Section goes to Rage, so all around i gotta say Rage is my pick.
    Rage Against The muhf*ckin' Machine!

    wait just a damn minute!

    what about PRIMUS!?

les is by far the most innovative nass player of this generation... or is he of this generation? maybe that's why no one mentioned him.

    much love :)

    Abso-frickin-lutely.

There are so many good bands from the 90's (especially early to mid)! I couldn't pink a best one overall but some of my picks would be Nirvana, FNM, Dinosaur Jr, AIC, NIN, Tool, RATM, Pearl Jam - er, a lot of initials in there.

Gah I can't choose! They were all great.

yea it did take a while for sublime to get mentioned to whoever said that before me..i was starting to get a little worried...i worship brad nowell
so anyway other bands:blind melon, dmb, NIN, incubus, foo fighters, weezer, green day

i believe someone mentioned nirvana and how they were too overrated, yes i do believe nirvana is overrated but that doesnt mean theyre music wasnt great

so anyway i shall continue...soundgarden, pearl jam, smashing pumpkins, rage against the machine, alice in chains, rancid

so yeah i shouldve probably looked at this thread earlier seeing as most of the bands i mentioned were mentioned, maybe not rancid...
