Strong psychedelics id say, let you experience consciousness without having an ego...you konw the ego gives you the often subconscious awareness of I am here Im a living stick and all this I see is around me> you are stuck in a box...Imagine if all those boundaries dissapear, left is the essence of consciousness. Luminous backstage of reality.

Anyways its more to explore your consciousness than to have fun like when you smoke a joint.

i think its a bit of an exagguration to say dmt has no recreational potential though, i mean people sprinkle it on joints and stuff dont they? that wouldnt quite break your boundries and i doubt theyd do it if it wasnt fun

sprinkling dmt on joints? what a waste. I prefer to snort it actually to smoking it. It is less intense but you get a much longer trip. Snorting it is closer to an extremely high dose of LSD than smoking it which is more like salvia but less scary.

Im planning on doing ayahuasca soon as well. Although it would be Mimosa hostilis and syrian rue, not the traditional B.caapi and P.viridis and it will have none of the other traditional ingredients such as brugmansia datura tobacco etc.

lol, well that depends on what your idea of recreation is. There is no exaggeration when it comes to dmt. No one is sprinkling dmt on joints man, no one. You know people who claim to do this? You have to use a crackpipe type deal to really use the substance. Seems like some people also like to say dmt when they mean 5-meo-dmt.

Actually, I'd like to see a forum where people more readily discuss this stuff. It's interesting. To erowid, I go.

As far as DMT goes, i've heard it can be extracted from Colorado river toads or something to that matter.
The only form of DMT i've ever seen however is Syrian Rue rootbark, i hear its one hell of a ride

I think you've got your plant names mixed up. Erowid.org has all the info.

you're thinking of bufotenine, which is structurally very similar to 5-meo-dmt, but also similar to n,n-dmt (the stuff we're talking about).

dmt is no myth? that dosent make anysense i meant in the way there there are a bunch of people saying shit like you can extract it from toads. So i said there should be a drug myth thread which there should be becuase every thread i go to theres some kid writing complete bullshit about some kind of drug. Obviously im aware dmt is a real substance and not a myth. I guess there should also be a thread for people who are confused and dont no how to read a thread than they can all be confused together and it will be like one big confusion threaddddd

Yeah it does. There are other toads in the same family that have only bufotenine and some other related psycoactive chemicals... Also bufotenine really sucks!!!

Bufo Americanus skin has mostly bufotenin which has never been shown to be psychedelic below toxic doses. It also contains some adrenal poisons. Bad idea. Leave them poor little froggies alone!
