I've found one thing that keeps people buying from you on online auctions. This is a simple thank you to bidders. Most people don't thank their bidders which is something that is very important. Letting them know that their bids let you continue offering what you offer goes a long ways! I know this all sounds corny but it will make or break you. Matthew Nix www.createapendant.com
I always send a thank you card or a little extra something with the packages. I agree...thanking the customers always means repeat business.
another good thing, is to not lie about when you said you shipped the item, as usually a date stamp appears on the package the day the seller shipped it off. I despise more than anything when i pay for something immediately after i win an auction to assure prompt delivery, and i don't receive the item until 3 MONTHS LATER. This happened to me twice with one seller on ebay. Each time the shipping date was marked at least 14 days after i payed. Even after reminding her that i was moving in a couple weeks, i still didn't get the item until summer was DONE and i couldn't even wear it. I refuse to ever buy from her again no matter how great her items.
Sorry you got pooped on. I hate people that don't pay. It doesn't happen often but it does happen. Matthew
