Ive never done acid, but i get the inkling that its a stones throw away. The problem is when i have a bad trip, i have a muay bad nihilistic "im going to die and it doesnt even matter and that sucks" trip. when i have a good trip its killer, but sometimes even weed brings me into a crippling doubt of myself and humanity. Ive done salvie, which was horrifying but oh so fun. so what tips can you give to me so that i have a good trip?

hey man, have a comfortable place, i find a basement room, with a couch is nice, get yourself a really close friend to be with you, some chill music, I suggest grateful dead american beauty, each some oranges and eat the acid.

I don't believe there are any "bad" trips. Some are more uncomfortable than others, the lessons presented in different ways. You get what you deserve. relax and pay proper attention to the carrots.

Ehhhh, I define a bad trip as one that pretty well makes me a nihilist. I get those some times. Paranoia as well. damn that shit.

many budhists seek the experience of "nothingness". what you call a "bad" trip, some people spend years trying to acheive.

Isn't bad trip when you start to fight off the effects and don't want them anymore? For the rest I dont'raelly get what 'goign bad' is supposed to feel like. I seemingly can't.

yeah Mordiana...A badtrip for me has to implicate loss of control. My precious, scared thoughts are abrutely stopped by lsd making me go out of my body and then coming back time after time. You have no control almost of your body, you feel like its jelly spreaded everywhere...And you are a prisoner of the state...

The experience of nothingness as mati said many people look for it. It's ego loss. Usually ego loss is possible before the loss of control. If you wait to long after the dawning light well it's like a bouncing ball you may not have access to the wanted state anymore...That's where things get strange.

believe me, my bad trips are not nirvana. and they arent really nothing, they are just incredibly smallness imbodied in me, that is sometimes i think that myself and the rest of humanity dont really matter at all, which is a depressing thought

The Chief Boo Hoo of the O.K. Neo-American Church, dedicated to the use of psychedelics as sacraments of our religion once said that the way to tell if you have had a bad trip is whether or not the world, in general, looks better or worse after the trip as compared to before. If the answer is "worse" and this is what you are getting repeatedly, then maybe you should lay-off for awhile or quit altogether. Check out the church website if you like, as far as acid philiosophy, it has helped me out alot. Bom Voyage

I beleive theres bad trips... I was having the greatest trip of my life while on mushrooms.. then I went and layed down.. and It turned horrible... It felt like I was floating in the bed.. my life cycle was doing turns.. and I kept bein reborn each second.. which feels so fucked up.. and I also thought I had brain damage.. and skitzo cause I was talking to myself... finally I got some music going to take my mind off all those negatives.. and passed out :)

okay, I just think that when some people say "bad trip", that what they are saying is that it was bad because everything wasn't roses. My opinion is that even the "bad" trips have something of value if we can appreciate that and it isn't that the acid is the problem

Oh they do.....All my good trips have occured outside, so I think the bad trips inside are speaking to me that being inside is unnatural

Heres my two cents man, LSD and Mescaline are for sure mind-expanding drugs, and being outside lets you feel at home, and yes it is natural so it feels better anyway. Mushrooms are more introspective and can leave a person so messed up that they may feel safer indoors. Avoid pot on hallucinogens, people say it makes it better, for me it only makes me forget awesome thoughts i am having and makes the trip linger much longer than it should. Remember that the sacred tobacco can help calm any nevousness much better than weed without adding much of it's own flavor to the trip, however i also try to stay clear of that as well. Know your body, mind, and limits. Trip only outside on L where you feel most confortable, even if that means less tripping. It is better to slowly move forward than to hit deadends with a bad/difficult trip. If you do this in a large park setting rember that duirng the weekday early morning is prime time to be one of the few people in the park, and wearing sunglasses can hide your incriminating pupils so that encounters are not quite so awkward. Peace man.
