    I don't smoke, but I have eaten pot and I don't believe
the current law makes any sense given we already
have alcohol and tobacco. Pot, and especially eating pot is the
    safest choice for recreational drugs.

This is the letter I mailed to my Congressman and Senators:

I am concerned with the damage recreational drug use
of alcohol and tobacco has on the body.
I hope this political party can help.

I am aware that drinking alcohol and smoking tobacco
is harmful to our bodies, but I believe it is neither possible
nor necessary to stop the use of drugs such as these.
Thus, I would like to allow these recreational drugs
to continue with the education that there are safer alternatives.

In order to do this a correction must be made. I believe that
there is an error regarding a law that has yet to be corrected
for quite some time in relation to drug policy. I have read a
lot of money is being spent to stop the use of and hurt those
that choose a drug that is healthier to use than alcohol and
tobacco. That is the eating of cannabis.

Could an action please be made quickly to fix this error while
educating the public that drinking alcohol or smoking of any
kind is not healthy. I understand it will take time to make a
complete change, but could some action please be taken to
decriminalize and lessen the penalties until this project is completed.

I believe that this action is very conservative when properly
understood because it is in the best interest of health, justice
and government funds that are being misdirected and harming
our citizens that are more educated on the proper choice and
use of recreational drugs such as eating cannabis in place of
drinking alcohol or smoking tobacco. I have been told citizens
are still being penalized or arrested for the choice of this safer
drug that can cause no damage to others or themselves.

I have been well educated by the public schools and university
in this fine state in psychology and it is well taught and understood
among the educated students, that while strangely illegal, cannabis,
and most certainly the eating of cannabis, is the healthiest
and safest recreational drug. I have also been well
educated in criminal justice. Many citizens have
been very respectful of this law just because it is a law and are
patiently waiting for it to be changed, but our patience is being
pushed while we wait for an illogical law to be fixed. I have also
been well educated in politics and history from this state’s school
and it is well understood that during an immature time of our past
the cannabis law was passed for immoral political reasons that are
still harming our citizens. It is now far passed time to correct this
    mistake and educate the public.

If there is any fear that using some recreational drugs could lead
to the use of dangerous drugs, do not worry for alcohol is a
recreational drug that is already legal. Thus that route, if even
blamable for the choices of our citizens, has already been fully
established by our government through the current recreational
    drug alcohol.

It is best to believe we choose which recreational drugs we take,
as the justice system already enforces upon us, and to minimize
other factors such as the damage a drug does to our bodies by
legalizing a less harmful recreational drug for eating cannabis.

If you are worried that you will be viewed as irresponsible by
opening another recreational drug, I think it is important to
understand that it is being done in the best interest of health, justice
and funds. Citizens are being arrested for causing no harm to
themselves or others, and certainly no more harm than is already
    legal through other recreational drugs.

Recreational drugs require responsibility, but we should not allow a
law to continue that legally harms citizens and encourages dangerous
drugs while outlawing a safer drug because of fear to address the problem.

    Thank You
    A Concerned Citizen

More people need to band together and things will happen. This is a great step forward.
