I've been teaching myself silversmithing to combine with the wire wrapping I've been doing. I've made 4 pieces so far with a 5th on the way soon. I wanted to share what I've been up to :)

i'm durrently doing some wire rings, with different colord glass e-beads all around, wire just used as carrier. thought i'd do a one-strand-er, expander. any thought on how one might get this idea to work without gett p.o'd and junking the whole thing?

It is actually a spessartite garnet cluster from Pakistan. Really nice material and hard to come by.

Not quite sure what you mean?

    Hey Natty,
Ever used seaglass in your wraps ? I have quite a bit of it if you're interested
in buying some for your projects. Your work is awesome. Very talented.
How long have you been wire wrapping ?

nattywraps- do you ever do custom orders or smaller wraps, like around one inch?

    Hey Isaac...

Being a wire wrap artist myself... I can definately say I am inviouse of your skills and a bad speller. I hope you realize that your knowledge is worth a lot of money. I make some good money selling what I know but you would totally be making fat bank. I have found 98% of the people that buy my wire wrapping knowledge have no follow through. It's kinda sad because I make is easy for them and there is great money in it. Your probably more well known than you think. I love your new work. It always blows me away. I'm coming out with my own DVD soon. You should seriously consider making one. Man... I hope you take your knowledge to the bank. I know people that would throw down some serious money to know what you know. Just something to think about.

Yeah I have had a few offers for articles. Lapidary Journal's step by step wire offered to have me do an article. I may be doing an tutorial for a website soon that would pay a pretty good fee. Right now though, I am not particularly interested in doing instructional material. I haven't really gotten to the point I want to be at yet. I do realise that making a DVD or doing a book would be nice because it is a product that is infinately reproducable.

Eventually though. It would be nice to do something like that but I am very fixated on teaching myself the silversmith stuff right now.

    Peace,
    Isaac

I tried doing the cross weaving thing and couldn't get it going on like you do. You definately have skill. You might not have been doing it long but you have way surpassed many many artists. I rate you a 20 from 1-10.

You're work always blows my mind! Each piece you create is soooo beautiful and unique. Approximately how long does it take you to produce a piece from start to finish? It mus take quite some time....they're so intracate. I love the smithing work too....beautiful :D
