I didn't think the story was very original, however I liked it a lot. My friend's hated the ending. I liked the way it ended. (i dont want to ruin it for anyone) discuss.
There wasn't very much good dialogue, the soundtrack was repetetive, the plot wasnt very heavy and i was dissapointed at the ending. But for some reason looking back on it it seems like a really good film.......I really dont know my opinion on it
I am extremely fustrated with the ending! The film was ruined by not completing it, in my opinion. It was an amazing film I have to say, but that ending! Just cruel. So, does everyone else think the letter was a hoax to teach him a lesson?
I thought the ending was perfect. It wasn't about whether or not he had a son; it was about whether or not he could connect with his world. In the beginning, he was totally disconnected. By the end, he may have learned how to "be a part of." I'm surprised that anyone was surprised by the (non) ending. It was, after all, a Jim Jarmusch film.
I saw this movie two days ago. I loved it. It was kinda of uniform with the shots, of the traffic and stuff but still very good. I love bill murray ...lost in translation was so good too.
i thought it was crazy/crappy. the end sucked but i was stoned and the music and wierd cinematography tripped me out. the full frontal nudity wasnt bad though.
