I have to go to school today (Canadian) but we're firing off a cannon we made in tech class. That'll be our tribute!
somehow i get the feeling MLKjr wouldn't have really wanted kids smoking weed in his name. on the other hand, he was certainly a great man. And not only for his (huge) impact on civil rights for blacks; he was a major voice against Vietnam, as well as speaking in favor of the poor and downtrodden. It is my opinion (though I've not looked too deep) that those were the reasons he was killed. He wasn't talking about Vietnam until late in his life (that is, until relatively shortly before he was assassinated). Anyways, here's a link to a speech he gave, I read it this morning, and it's amazingly great. Sad, sickeningly sad how much of it STILL applies to our current Veitnam war. http://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/mlkatimetobreaksilence.htm
