what is the highest point of pleasure is it sex ,drugs ,enlightenment , eating fine chocolate , what is it, how near have you come to it, how long does it last?
i think its just a really good kiss... a really passionate one... or another is a really good lyric in a song which just makes me shudder.... both of those make me go mmmm
Being at a gig/live music venue with your best friends, and the point when the music, and everyone else goes crazy.... God I love that
All of the above! Reading the list was a mound of pleasure in itself. I suppose honestly I could scrap cheese and wine conversation from the pinnacle, but I don't know about much else! I'm not sure how to sum it up in a word, maybe inspiration but that's rather vague. But moments of creativity, when you're doing something original in your art. When you finish and its yours and ta-da. Learning to play new instruments brings a lotta joy too. Tool of the above trade I guess, useful. And that sorta pleasure has some good staying power too. You can always play the song again, or buy new tools. It's not quite as intense as 'Gigs/Gigs on drugs', but that's obviously quite short-lived.
the highest point of pleasure is a moment hard to describe...it doesnt necessarily apply to certain situations... some moments however everything seems perfect..and despite anything bad that may have happened you feel happy and alive and content and at peace..
This is a cool topic. Pleasure is something that has always grabbed me as an idea. To me the world is made up of many rich and various incomparable pleasures, and so I don't believe it's possible to put one particular pleasure above all others. It's a kinda philosophical issue I guess, and philosophers have usually broken pleasure up into physical pleasures, emotional pleasures, spiritual pleasures. So it might help us to unravel our thoughts if we think of pleasure in distinct ways like this. If I was forced to pick one immediate, delicious physical pleasure without thinking much about it I'd no doubt blurt out Orgasm (trust me dude, this is WAY nicer than cheese!). My biggest fear in life is loneliness, so possibly my biggest pleasure is company; but I'd go beyond this and say my greatest pleasure is LOVE-- to love someone is a deeply emotional, wonderfully physical and richly spiritual thing. Three in one and one in three. Awww... Peace and pleasure to you all amigos!
i dont know if it is described as pleasure but to me there is no nicer feeling (other than pure inloveness) than 'being'. not doing, not thinking, but just being! being completely at peace. usually a state i only achieve when at dance camp each summer, in a field away from the real world where focus is on creating and being and living comunally. however, the other night i went to my regular dingy pub to hear a band i heard a while back...and just sat cross legged on the floor i refound that inner peace, listening to this awesome band, and then the punks and the goths went wild and were throwin each otehr about, pickin each otehr up, wrestling, an one guy climbed on a shelf and somersaulted onto three of the otehrs on the floor and it was just pure fun and laugter. also laughter at nothing...laughing when you dont even know why...and yet its like its the funniest thing in the world, pure therapy, pure medicine! oh and cant forget one true pleasure...getting into a hot bath - oooo *shudders* THAT is pleasure...the chill out that follows is nice but ooo the getting into that boiling hot bath is heaven
Yes, this is such a great pleasure in life! I know some people who have never felt this, especially some guys, and who maybe never will feel it. Makes you feel lucky.
feeling of enlightenment is good also the feeling where you think something awfuls going to happen and it doesnt . a few years ago I had two very major car crashs in both I thought I was going to die, in the second I fractured my neck really really really badly, was paralysed for hours thought I was going to be totally paralysed for life . but gradually got feeling back . anyway the not being killed feeling, and the not being paralysed feeling are really wonderful
Achieving something because it is long term Other short term pleasure I enjoy are hugs, laughing and kisses
