moon/sun mosaic..

I don't know if this is okay to put in this forum..but I seem to get more feedback from here than Art, so oh well..

I'm not actually done with it yet, I have to grout it..But this is a mosaic that I worked on for a few hours in a couple days.. Hope you like it..






I ran out of the green when I got to the end..so the right side is more sparse than the left..which bugs me a LOT..(because I'm a perfectionist....obsessive compulsive..whatever..haha)

But helpful criticism is welcomed and very much encouraged.... I'd love to know what you amazing mamas (and papas) would do to make it better..

 

My aunt (the one who went to LSMSA [i'm applying there now..wish me luck!!]..) did these..

OOooo I like it alot! I like the colors you used and the round beads you put in there give it a great "texture".

Ahh.. I'm at my best friend's house, and she's sleeping, and I have this overwhelming urge to do some kinda art..but I can't..
I'm going crazy!!...

I would love to do a mosaic, the materials are really cheap and they look so nice. Did you just use broken tiles? It's really creative, well done xxx

 

my aunt have me a big box ith panes and shards of glass and i've got glass cutters and stuff...

The way you have it set up, it's ok that the right is a little sparce because you have those reddish triangles coming from the moon on the right, which kinda looks like light shining from the moon, dispersing the dark green pieces (if that makes any sense).


Hmmm...I think I put too much thought into that...haha. But good job

 

Turned out nice. I enjoyed getting into mosaics myself but need to make a better work space, no heat in the present set up. I posted the ones I worked on jointly before. This is a good forums for this.

i'd like to see it as a table top, wider and where the moon creates the circle to complete the rest of the circle with a very slightly different shade of green... if you get me, so you just continue the circle round in a slightly different shade of green. I think that would look great. thats just for a bit os inspiration for next time. but it think this is really cool
