Well since Am 40.5 weeks preg I see the midwife 2x a week now.. todays visit.. Everything was fine Blood pressure heart beat... She checked me and I've done nothing still 1/5 cm 50% effaced and her head is -2. =(.. While sitting there I asked her to touch my belly I dont know what a contraction feels like and.. I've been having this warm feeling in my tummy and then he gets really hard but no painful at all.. and well it is a contraction.. but she said VERY mild.. She told me to go and buy some Castro Oil and take it tonight and hopefully is will get my body doing what is should be doing Did any of you try castro oil?..
I've not tried caster oil. Sperm is really supposed to to the trick, either by mouth or vagina An orgasm of your own will also help to get things kick started I know it's tough, but stay as active as you can. Talk a walk around the block or walk around the mall for awhile. When at home, run up and down your stairs a few times every hour or so. Good luck, you'll have a new babe soon
Is this your first? On Average, first time mamas go 41 weeks 3 days. You are still well within normal limits. As for castor oil...I haven't taken it, but I've given it! (Make sure you buy Castor oil and not castro oil, castro oil is for cars!) Usually, about 4 hours after you drink it, you'll start having bowel cramps, have a tremendous bowel movement, and begin contracting, if your body is ready. You don't sound as if your cervix is very ripe, though. If it doesn't start labour, all you get is a good cleaning out. How did your midwife tell you to prepare it?
i've heard a1 steak sauce on macaroni & cheese will start labor... some people swear by it. luckily i've never had to try anything since all my kids were early. my doc told us just to have sex, which pleased my hubby to no end.
mmmmmm a1 sauce and mac and cheeesssseeee... *drool* opps ok sorry, back to the original post. Zenia, I went two weeks "late" with Croix. I'm so sad I can't be there to see your little girl. I have my phone back so when you have her give me a call! I hope everything goes well and you have an easy birth. We love you guys...
Buttercup, arent you the girl who went with Kevin and me and kristen to high rocks in his van? and we smoked up there? Oh and erin when are you gonna come see my baby? He's getting big!
Good luck, and I hope you go soon! I was lucky with my oldest son, I went at 39 weeks. I was afraid I was going to be one of the late ones! With my twins, I went a few days over 36 weeks, which was considered full-term for twins.
Good luck *sending vibes your way* My mum is a holistic theraphist, and she did reflexology on an overdue lady and it totally worked. So that's something else to consider, if possible.
