Cheap.. I don't know, if you want to bleach, the cheapest way is to put some lemonjuice in your hair and let the sun do the work.. but don't know how dark your hair is and if you live in a sunny aria. Otherwise you need Hydrogen Peroxide, 6% usually but 9 or 12 % for dark brown/black hair. You also need some kinda powder to mix it with, which you can buy at a hairdresser (here in the Netherlands..) But remember.. bleaching isn't very good for your hair.. so if it's allready dry, you'd better not bleach it.
What color do you want your dreadies to be? Henna is the most natural way to dye your hair I think. But if that's cheap ova there? I don't know..

Well.. than you have to bleach I think.. if you want it to be really purple. I had my hair purple before dreading. But I let the hairdresser bleach it first. Bought some purple paint at a hair-shop and my dad dyed it.
