yeah man i used to love nick drake a lot. listened to a bunch of him in high school. If you like him, i think you should give Leo Kottke a listen. Some other artists that are similar to that Nick Drake sound could be Keller Williams, or Michael Hedges as well as Leo. They all are amazing musicians. Especially Leo Kottke. Nick Drake was the first guitarist i really thought sounded different. He has a really cool voice i think to.

Pink Moon & Fly my 2 favs.

His song Fly reminds me of that movie Fly away home.
And Pink Moon sounds like the prefect rainy day tune.

    That's a pretty good painting.

Pink Moon is excellent, he kinda reminds me of Elliott Smith a little bit.

the first song i heard of nick's was cello song. after the first few notes, i knew it was love and i haven't been able to shake off him or his music. pink moon is a gem of an album, short but perfect.
ian mcdonald wrote a book called the people's music and the last chapter is 'exiled from heaven: the unheard message of nick drake'. it is well worth a read if you are into nick and his music. the whole book is worth reading to be honest, some really interesting bits in it.
paddler, i would definately have a listen to elliott smith. another beautiful artist.
