Why? Doesn't your boss like black people?" This can be modified for other holidays. "Doesn't your boss care about our war dead?" - Memorial Day "Is your boss British?" - July 4 Labor day is always fun, "Why doesn't your boss give his workers Labor day off? Does he think you're lazy?" The point of it all is to get the clerk to admit that their boss cares more about money than the various things that holidays are about. Be nice to the employee, they don't set policy.
It is completly rude that is.. if you don't like comercialism don't bloody do any shopping .. Get yourself a alotment.. and let the rest of humanity earn a living
