exactly, KC. the republican party is pretty much splitting right now. There are the conservatives (like the william f buckley types) who hate george bush and his religious right cohorts. I really think this year Kansas may be voting democratic (or against bush) for the first time in history. Some of the representatives, most notably sen pat roberts have spoken out against bush's decision to go to war. Roberts said if he knew now about the no WMDs in iraq, which was one of the main reasons to go to war in the first place, he never would have agreed with the legislation to go to war in the first place. Its kind of crazy, even william f buckley has spoken out against bush and his policies.

 

The religious right seems doomed in this country. I believe that the fiscal conservatives are stronger and more able to pull voters from the middle. If they want to revitalize their party, which they will likely have to do after 4 years of absolute disasterous leadership, then they need to kick those christian fundamentalists to the curb.

Wow, that made no sense. But serioulsy, they couldn't shut down every website that opposed the U.S. government. There's probably something that the article isn't telling us that would make it seem as if it made more sense (not that anything like that is ever justified). Still, that's fucked up.

News networks like FOX News are conservative-based and Republican-based corporations that only report on news that shows their kind in a positive light. Yet, a lot of the media is liberal as well. Funny how none of the media is talking about Burgman and his theft of top secret documents. That in and of itself supports the rebublican party, yet the so called rebublican media isn't reporting on it. Instead they are talking about a missing pregnant woman that noonw knows.

As far as the web site going down, I don't think it will happen. If that story happened two years ago, and nothing has happened here yet.....Also, if they did do anythng here, I would hope they would just go after the anti-america people here. I mean, those are the kinda of people we are fighting in Iraq, why not fight them here as well?
