anybody heard of them? they released a new album recently that is pretty good, havent really got into it yet, but if you want a really good indie rock/pop album, you should get you forget it in people. I think its such an amazing album, almost flawless!

I love them, they're currently my favorite band. Their album, "You Forgot it in People" is amazing, and "Bee Hives" is more mello but not bad either. They are suppose to release a new album soon!

I just picked up We hate your hate and am very much into it

I saw them a couple of summers ago play a show on centre island in Toronto with a bunch of other excellent Canadian bands, and havn't heard them much since so I decided to get back into them...happy I did so

if you dig Broken Social Scene you should check out the Rheostatics, I'd say they're the granddadies of Toronto's progressive rock scene today

no, granddadies as in elderly paternal figures of the scene, they're not really like anyone else in terms of sound, though the term Canadian certainly applies

and they're infulence is heard in many bands to have come out of Toronto since

they're also long time friends and collaborators with the Tragically Hip (if you're an American, and have never heard of these guys I HIGHLY recomend them)

They're amazing, that's all I have to say. I haven't gotten a chance to buy one of their albums, but a friend of mine lent me a burnt CD with a couple of their songs on it.

Maaaaaaaaaaybe, you should check out Metric? The singer's associated with Broken Social Scene, a little. Mix in the Yeah, yeah, yeah's and Broken Social Scene, and that's what Metric sound like.

I downloaded You Forget it in People the other day, and I love it. I especially liked Lover's Spit and Cause = Time.

yeah, i've been listening to them for a couple of years now. if you want a really great album with less lyrics and more musicianship check out feel good lost. it's their first album and has some really amazing track on it. there's a local music festival in my town every year and this year we got some of the most amazing acts: apostle of hustle, buck 65, xavier rudd, the Stars, the arcade fire, cuff the duke, hidden cameras sam roberts and broken social scene. they played late on the last night and i can say for a fact that listening to them live and tripping out on mush go hand in hand with awesomeness. if you've got their beehives album listen to the song backyards. it was druing that song that i peaked and it was fantastic. i highly suggest listening to them while on any sort of drug.
