green river--festival lite.

yes it is a pretty straight festy. no camping, no ganga brownies. but a friendly crowd and the balloons lighted during the hot tuna set were wonderful to see.

they get a minus for such short sets. a decent jam band would have time for a few numbers. it is sort of a chance to sample bands like appetizers so maybe you would like to go to a fest where they headline as a main course.

pluses- cheap and clean. no traffic headaches. and better than a lot of city fests of larger size. all the acts i saw were excellent. so small but very rich, like a good dessert.
