why do people use PQ for the abreviation? Where is the P in Quebec? or is it supposed to mean Provence of/du Quebec? so confusing, when I read that it always makes me instinctually anounciate Partie Quebecois in my head but I digress, off the top of my head, in no particular order: Arcade Fire Broken Social Scene the Rheostatics Ween Nick Cave Iron and Wine Jean Leloup Wilco Blind Melon Beck feel free to argue my classification of any of these bands as Alternative/Indie, because I don't really follow "the scene" and have no bloody clue what constitutes either anymore, I'm too busy just trying to listen to good music peace
the cranberries are and forever will be one of my favorite bands. they have been one of my favorites since i was 3 or 4 years old.
US Maple is an insane and incredible band that makes the weirdest music west of Sonic Youth. Everyone should listen to them.
