close to the edge (the whole album) starship trooper south side of the sky damn i just love everything they do
l actually do love Tales From Topographic Oceans and Relayer. Even though the do seem overly ambitious, they are great albums.
Patrick Moraz is probably one of the greatest keyboardists ever, but I think Rick Wakeman was just a little bit crazier, so my vote goes to Wakeman hands down.
well, i aint saying that wakeman isnt the shit, but i think he leans a little bit too close to classical in my opinion. Relayer is just perfection in music, with the keyboards and the slide guitar, and the sliding bass lines in Gates. damn i love it
but dude the bass on heart of the sunrise? that is the whole song basically the bass. and he does it damn well
Oh believe me, love sunrise, especially the end when jons voice hits the high notes... a god damn. But, the bass on gates of delerium, I must say, is his best work. I guess it doesnt make sense the first time you hear it, but when it grows on ya you realize that nothing is better.
Moraz does suck without Steve to back him up. and six wives is the shit! I love downloading different live shows and hearing the different versions of it!
Oh yeah, I got my dad Wakeman's new Journey DVD for Christmas, and the version of Journey on there is 20 times better than the original album. Is there a release on CD of that performance or something from that tour that was just as good? I'd love to put that on my iPod.
