What does DH stand for??? I'm always reading you ladies talking about your DH's but i don't get it! I even googled it and came up with nowt! While you're at it, any other abbreviations you lovely ladies can enlighten me with?

    Thank you very very much!!

In that case I'll refer to mine as BH - my Bloody Husband!

Ugh..something about DH and DD and DS just bothers the hell out of me. I mean, if they're so god damn "dear" to you, why not take the time to spell it out?

I used to frequent a pregnancy and baby message board where that's all they ever referred to their families as...DH, DS, DD...I was always the odd one out because I didn't like abbreviating like that when referring to my family. ;)

I don't like it much either, seems too impersonal...

It's just a shorthand I guess, and saves having to explain who everyone is if you use just their names. Also a bit of anonimity to for them, if you wanted that.

Don't use them myself, but then nobody in my life fits the bill. No aversion to the terms though.
