my friend cody went to jail. he had been living at a friends for a while and busted some stuff back at his parents house. he was my dealer and one of my close friends plus he was my best friends boyfriend. he might go to an adult jail because hes 17. his court day is on wednesday.
If its a small amount, even in the USA, he most likely wouldn't go to jail for it. Probation, fines, and community survice yes, but not jail.
cultivation normally doesn't result in jail time in Canada. so intent to distribute probably wouldn't either.
IDK if this still holds true, but I remember reading in one province judges were throwing out all cases of cultivation, possession, or distribution. Something to do with parliament not fixing the laws. I guess the judges there have more power than ours do? I'm not sure, but whoever got caught at that time was one lucky mother fucker.
