...Still hurts like hell! Thanks for all your thoughts and good wishes. I should be walking by the end of the year, but the rest of 'shroom season is ruined! That bastard! ----- I wasn't wearing a helmet and was broadsided when a car in the lane left of me tried to turn into the driveway too my right. I saw him coming, but for the first time in 30 plus years of riding, I couldn't get out of the way. So I jumped off. Don't try this at home! Anyway, he clipped my left shin (SMASH!), but I almost made it to the shoulder before I landed. I hit the road on my left forearm, bounced off my scalp once, flipped over, landed on my ass and rolled into the grass. Relatively speaking, a piece-of-cake. The results: A lightly fractured left rib, right arm, right leg and a slew of hickeys from my long time mistress the Road. The only truly bad part is my left leg was broken cleanly in half, with the tibia snapping into 15 pieces. They estimated a month to learn to use a walker, but they wouldn't let me smoke a reefer so I did it in a week, and they let me go home under daily supervision. Damn that first buzz was good! I'm homebound for 6 months, they say; with Nurse visits everyday and therapist coming over twice a week for a while. I can get all the narcotics I want- Think I'll just smoke a fat one and be walking in three! See ya around!
Awww... I'm so glad to hear from you! You're such a champ... that sounds like a very hardcore James Bond scene or something. Too bad you didn't get it on tape. It's good to know you're home and smoking.... I know it took some determination and hard work. Contratulations. I want to see a picture of your cast...
Sorry to hear about the accident. I hope the penis wrinkle who did it to you has to pay for it! What have/are you going to do about the guy that cracked you? Can you get him legally? .....I'm sorry....I don't mean to pry, but reckless jerks behind the wheel of a car should have there lisence taken when they cause an avoidable accident!!! Hope you are feeling norml again soon!! Keep on smokin
Glad to hear that you're alright man. Just keep a positive attitude and you'll be walking again in no time.
Glad to hear that you're back and still smokin'! Keep a positive attitude and hopefully you'll be walking again soon. Did this accident change your views on anything? How did it change you? Will you be riding again?
That sucks man, right before school got out I completely dislocated my left ankle and broke it in three spots. 2 months in a cast and still in rehabilitation. Hope you get better quick.
hell yea geck. smoke a nice fat one for yourself. you deserve it. hope your rehab goes good. good luck.
Im happy to hear from ya, thank god you can smoke buds again. be positive and youll walk soon. by the way, I think Ill go smoke a fat joint soon enough too.
I don't have a cast because of an open wound. Just a stainless steal rod in the bone. Has the experience changed me? Physically, yes. I can't keep dreaming about hiking the Grand Canyon anymore. Still, I've had a closer call or two, and this one never had that I'M GONNA DIE! aspect. When I was flying through the air I wasn't praying or thinking "why me?". I was silently screaming "ROLL, ROLL, ROLL" so I would remember to do so when the thud came.
