i have a staff bitch that i want to cross breed but pitbulls are banned in the uk because of some idiots who raised there dog violently. anyway could you let me know. thanks
These are some of the costs that you will have to budget for: * stud fee * Whelping box, heat pads, heat lamps, thermometer, scissors, towels, baby scales, tweezers, hemostats, baby suction bulb * milk replacement formula and/or goats milk, baby bottles, tubes for tube feeding, sterilising solution, nail clippers * puppy wormer (2,4,6,& 8 weeks), puppy diarrhea medicine * food - a pregnant female may need up to four times what she normally eats, and a nursing female will also need a lot of food. Puppies also eat much more food than what you would think * vaccinations * eye certification - done at 7 weeks Here are some of the hidden and not so hidden costs that you may not have thought about: * vet checks and health tests to make sure that the bitch is ok to be mated and whelp * ultrasounds * lots of extra washing for bedding in whelping box * emergency vet trips (invariably late at night)for the emergency c-section * emergency vet trips to save a dying pup * time off from work that you need to take to help the bitch and to make sure that no puppies get squashed, etc - allow at least 5 days off work for this * vet visit and antibiotics for the bitch for such things as mastisis * advertising to sell puppies * lots of phone calls to and from interested and not so interested puppy buyers So you've read all this and you figure, heck I don't need all that stuff, I can do this cheaper! Well, yes you can. You might buy a few of these things listed above and never use them. Bravo for you. Unfortunately Murphy's law seems to strike, and whatever you don't have, that's what you'll need in the middle of the night.
He hasn't, he has a Staff bitch, that's not the same breed. But I too think that there are more than enough homeless doggies out there, why do you want to breed her? You want a Staff/Pitbull mix, or did I get that wrong? I have a staff lady from the animal shelter and she is beautiful and lovely - but we are gonna get her neutered soon.
I can't say I'd try to help him find a dog so that he can breed more mutts. There are mutts born and killed every day.
I just went on a homepage of a animal shelter in Vienna, and there were 14!!! Staffs and pitbulls there (including mixes). That should be enough to see that people are very suspicious of those breeds. Makes me so sad that though, they're great dogs.
i have a rednose pit and its the best dog i ever owned. i hate the negativity these dogs receive. in us the number one dog that attacks is a golden retriever, bet you don't see that on the news. i stud my dog out but only to other quality dogs for the fact that i spent alot of time and money researching breeders and finding a quality dog. if you want to breed her just make sure you find another quality dog otherwise the bloodline and quality of your dog is in jeapordy when the pups come. but best of luck hope you find a good stud
i also have to ask you PLEASE dont breed your dog. millions of homeless and needy dogs are in shelters and by breeding you are adding fuel to the fire. If it's because you want a puppy from the litter then check out the petfinder website and im sure you can find the exact dog you are looking for in need of a good home.....
